My son is turning 9.  I thought it would be a good idea to write down his interests and gift ideas while it’s still fresh in my mind and provide a gift guide for 9 year old boy.

The older they get, the more expensive they get!

Legos – $10-$100+

LEGO Star Wars Poe's X-Wing Fighter 75102 Building KitLEGO Bionicle Ekimu The Mask Maker

Both of these are under $20 @ Amazon

Star Wars, Minecraft, 3D, Bionicle.  Whatever characters they are into

My son would love to have any and ALL of these!

Gift cards to game shops, iTunes or Amazon to get games

Remote Control anything!

Water Balloons or water guns –  These are awesome!  Fill 100 balloons in 60 seconds!

Other ideasSettlers of Catan

Board Games
Puzzles
Books
Nerf Guns
Swords

Experiences

My son LOVES having a day out with his grandparents.  They have done this for the past 2 years and he looks forward to it every time.  They go out to eat, buy a gift together and just enjoy the day.

And of course for the non-cluttering ideas:
Gift cards to Amazon or iTunes if he has electronics
Movie tickets
Build-a-bear
Skyzone or Trampoline place gift card
Museum or zoo membership
Sports complex gift card
Lessons to sports or music
Good old fashioned CA$H!!!

If you ask most parents, they say “they don’t NEED anything”, but the fun of being a kid was to get presents on your birthday. If you’re still not sure, just have fun with it, they will love whatever you get!
