My 12 year old daughter just had a birthday, she’s not really a girly girl or sporty girl, but loves books and musicals. Here is a list of a few of the things that she loved!
When things in our lives aren’t moving in the direction we want them to go, we can get discouraged and frustrated. But there are simple steps that we can take to get things back on track (or even started) and it all starts with a decision. Decision shapes our lives.
What makes someone successful with money and wealth? A money mindset. A money mindset is an overriding attitude that you have about your finances and beliefs you may have picked up along the way. Every day financial decisions are derived from your money mindset. It can have a big impact on your ability to achieve your goals. I want to offer a round up of there are some books that totally change the way you look at life. The first four on this list have changed the way I look at money and enriched the way we handle our finances. I wish I would have read these as a teenager and applied them before I started college.
Are you feeling overwhelmed with life? Aren’t happy with your career, relationship or parenting? Do you know you’re meant to do more in this world, but can’t seem to put your finger on what it is? Or maybe you do know what it is, but you can’t seem to get any traction. You’re stuck. It may be time to hire a coach.
I have been searching for some ways to organize my birthday candles. They had previously been shoved in a ziplock bag in the junk drawer. Then when you did need to get one out, it was like reaching into the snake basket and not knowing what you were going to pull out or what would dusting would be on your hand. I wanted to aesthetically pleasing display for my candles as well.
Growing up, we always had a medicine cabinet at our house. It was full of expired prescription bottles, Nyquil, cough drops, pain meds and more. But somehow as we had kids, we kept everything separately. I decided it was time that we adopted the medicine cabinet from my youth with an organizing flare!

My husband and I had been talking about our “mudroom” situation for months now. This picture doesn’t do the usual chaos justice, but we’ve have shoes all over the place, and now that it’s getting cold, we’re getting more coats. And my son’s backpack, lunchbox, and my bag do not have a home. I’ve shown pictures/ideas to my husband and we’ve talked about putting it in the laundry room, I wanted to have lockers, but behind the door is just the most convenient place.
Running out the door because you’re late to your kid’s ball game, you forgot that you didn’t pack a water bottle. Open the water bottle cabinet and out tumbles the piles of bottles you have saved “just in case”. Too many times have I had to pick up lids, straws, bottles, ect that have tumbled out when I reached for one thing.
Last night, our family had a rare night off from activities. We ended up in the basement putting a puzzle together. I LOVE these times! I decided to turn CNN on my phone and listen to some of the election coverage. This brought up a lot of questions about politics from my kids (10 & 9) that my husband and I weren’t ready for.
